Alison is a Senior Associate in the corporate department at Trowers & Hamlins. Working alongside the head of the firms' UK private equity practice, Alison specialises in UK buy-out and M&A work acting for institutional investors, private equity houses, corporates and management teams on investment and divestments and management incentive packages.

Alison has acted for clients operating in a wide range of sectors, but has particular expertise advising on investments in the field of health and social care.

In addition to advising on investments and M&A activity, Alison has provided advice to portfolio companies on a wide range of corporate and commercial transactions including joint ventures, supply and distribution agreements, terms and conditions, confidentiality agreements and corporate governance issues.

Recent Experience:

  •  Advising Cambian Group on its pre-IPO merger of the Cambian Group with two other private equity owned businesses as well as advising Cambian Group on several bolt on company and business acquisitions
  • Advising Cambian Group in relation to numerous acquisitions in the specialist mental health and children's' care sectors
  • Advising a UK clearing bank on the corporate aspects of its financing the acquisition of a number of GPs surgeries
  • Advising Guinness Care and Support on its acquisition of Live Well at home,  a domiciliary care business in Gloucestershire
  • Advising Compass Community on its acquisition of a children's home business
  • Advising The Extracare Charitable Trust in relation to a joint venture for the provision of certain extra care schemes
  • Advising numerous private limited companies and AIM listed companies in relation to the Bribery Act 2010 including in relation to the adoption of adequate procedures for the prevention of bribery and delivering annual training updates to those businesses
